As a brand dedicated to protecting wildlife and nature, our partnership with the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya has shaped our journey from the beginning - but often the most beautiful things we do together happen far beyond the studio.
Since 2021 we've fully-funded the SWT/KWS Mara Veterinary Unit - made up of a dedicated team of vets, this mobile response team operates in the Maasai Mara, coming to the aid of injured animals affected by poaching and human-wildlife conflict.
Today this unit is part of something even bigger: a landmark recovery programme for the black rhino.
On the ground in the Maasai Mara
Through your orders and our 2% to the Wild initiative, we support vital monitoring and emergency care needed for this population - one of only two remaining unfenced groups in the world. Operating from the skies, this dedicated vet unit and aerial team works tirelessly to:
• Fit long-range GPS transmitters - allowing the team to monitor rhinos in real time
• Ear notch - ensuring individual rhinos can be identified and protected
• Provide rapid response - protecting against the threat of poaching and delivering vital veterinary care
Over two years our unit and the Sheldrick aircraft covered 14,500 kilometres to ear-notch and GPS-tag 27 rhinos for security monitoring and tracking, with three quarters of the population now known and trackable.
Our shared impact: a population on the rise
Thanks to your support - the rhino population is steadily growing, with 57 individuals recorded and counted. Beyond rhinos, the unit has also saved over 2,300 wild lives that would otherwise have been lost.
While the Mara faces real pressure from poaching to encroaching agriculture, the progress is real too. This beautiful species has been brought back from the brink - and we are part of why.
Meet Notty & Tytan
During her recent visit to the Sheldrick's nursery in Kenya Elizabeth met Tytan - an orphaned baby black rhino rescued by the Trust, and his Zebra friend Notty.
Since being rescued from similar fates these two have become inseparable: eating together, napping together, and sleeping side by side. An extraordinary tale of survival, hope, and friendship in the face of all odds - it's a powerful reminder of just how fragile and resilient these animals are, and why protecting them matters so deeply.
