A decade ago, Elizabeth Scarlett was born at a kitchen table from just a few paintings and a small dream. Today, we celebrate 10 years of wild beauty, impact - and a beautiful journey of heart and purpose together. 

From sketches at a kitchen table to a worldwide community protecting the wild, this story belongs to you as much as it does to us.

A message from Elizabeth 

Where it all began

From the first brushtrokes of the brand put to paper at a kitchen table in 2015, Elizabeth’s dream was about more than creating beautiful designs, she wanted every piece to help protect endangered species and their wild homes. Guided by a love of the natural world, those early paintings became Elizabeth’s first designs - bees, elephants and birds, and our first collection of cushions. Though our range has grown, with our products finding their way to the shelves of Anthropologie, John Lewis, Fortnum & Mason and more - those first motifs remain some of our most-loved and popular designs today. 

The pouch that changed everything 

In 2017, we launched the product that came to define our brand as our most-loved and iconic accessory: the Everyday Pouch. An endlessly versatile piece, hand-embroidered with golden bees, elephants, or stars, it quickly became a signature silhouette. Customers carried them to weddings, holidays, and used it as a multipurpose everyday organiser, making them the ultimate symbol of Elizabeth Scarlett’s joyful, nature-inspired spirit.

Conservation at the heart 

The trip that sparked the beginning of our conservation journey! Visiting the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s nursery in Kenya, meeting the orphan Elephants in its care on her honeymoon was the moment that inspired Elizabeth to protect these creatures and ignited our wild purpose. From her aeroplane seat on the flight home, she sent the email that led to our first collaboration with the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: for every pouch sold, a bottle of milk was donated to orphaned elephants in Kenya. It sold out in weeks - proof that creativity could drive meaningful change.

Since then, our designs have carried a deeper purpose: planting wildflower meadows for bees, protecting turtle hatchlings in Ascension Island, funding a mobile vet unit in the Maasai Mara, and much more. In 2021, the pledge became official: we committed to donating 2% of annual sales to supporting wildlife conservation and our charity partnerships around the world. This means that every year, your orders give directly back to protecting endangered wildlife, their homes and habitats - whether we make money or not.

Our journey so far...

2015 – Born at the Kitchen Table
Out of a passion for art and wildlife, Lizzie put brush to paper and dreamt of a brand that could give back to nature. The very first products, cushions, were born.



2017 – The Pouch That Changed Everything
The Everyday Pouch - our signature silhouette - was launched. A game-changing product still loved today.



2020 - First Conservation Collection: Saving Orphaned Elephants
Marking the beginning of our conservation journey, we created our first design in partnership with the Sheldrick Wildllife Trust. It sold out in weeks, raising vital funds for orphan elephants.



2022 – Protecting Bees & Turtles with New Partnerships
Closer to home, we planted 1 hectare of wildflowers across London with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. At sea, our partnership with Blue Marine Foundation helped protect turtle hatchlings.



2023 – Lifesaving Veterinary Care in the Maasai Mara
We committed to fully funding the SWT/KWS Mara Mobile Vet Unit - a dedicated team rescuing and treating wildlife in the Maasai Mara.



2025 – Celebrating 10 Years of Wild Beauty
A decade of art, conservation, and community. With new collaborations, designs, and visits to our partners in the wild, we’re more committed than ever to protecting the wildlife that inspires our world.
