Behind The Making of Our New Pyjamas

With autumn upon us, it’s the perfect time to be slipping into a pair of pyjamas. New and improved, our PJs collection is back with your most loved designs, and four brand new wild prints to love. Crafted in collaboration with our community, you shaped the design every step of the way, from fabric to fit and final details. Get up close and personal to the design journey with our founder, Elizabeth, and discover how the collection came to life!

1. Upgraded fabric

Texture, weight and comfort are such important ingredients for the perfect pyjamas. We searched high and low to find a fabric that would be silky-soft against the skin, thick enough to keep out the chill and light enough to maintain body temperature through changing seasons. 100% cotton sateen was tried-and-tested by our team, and chosen as the winner for its combination of softness, and comfort. It’s also nice and thick, perfect for evenings in with a chill in the air.

2. Refreshed fit

I love a relaxed, roomy fit. Whether you prefer a bit of stretch in your pyjamas or a snugger fit, we wanted these pairs to be perfect for every body. We added a drawstring to the pyjama bottoms, which allows you to adjust them perfectly to your waist size with no uncomfortable welts in the morning. For the silhouette, we opted for a boxy cut which I think is so comfortable and relaxed. A hint of tailoring makes them just as stylish for answering the door, or slow mornings in the garden with the papers.

3. Breezy shorts silhouette

Ever since our first pyjamas collection, a shorts set has been one of the most popular requests from our community. And we’ve finally answered! I absolutely love our new short set in one of our most classic Blue & White Elephant prints - inspired by peacefully grazing elephants surrounded by palms, and painted in soft blue tones on an airy white canvas. Perfect for warmer nights or those seeking the winter sun, it features the same roomy tailoring as the classic long pair, with contrast piping for a little touch of luxury.

4. New designs

Travelling is always the greatest source of inspiration for me, these designs celebrate the beautiful creatures I’ve been lucky enough to encounter and their wild homes. Watercolour is my favourite medium to capture the ideas for these prints, lending a dreamy, delicate quality that comes alive beautifully on this fabric. Featuring turtles swimming in warm tropical waters, gentle elephants grazing among the savannah and celestial skies - for the dreamers among us.
