The Heart of The Horse

You need only stand beside a horse to feel centred. From my earliest memories, being in their presence has always felt deeply healing. When the world feels noisy, chaotic or restless - their intuition and wisdom always brings me back to calm, connection and peace. A reminder to slow down, breathe and be truly present. 

Last year, I created my very first horse design for our autumn collection. It was out in the open air of the English countryside, sketchbook on my knee - that I was inspired to create this new Wild Horses design. 

Basking in their presence, watching their quiet interactions - I was inspired by the poetry of their movement, their flowing manes and gentle forms. As my paintbrush moved over paper, I wanted to capture that feeling of grace and freedom in every detail. Echoing the energy of many hearts moving together; each distinct yet deeply connected. 

For me, it embodies what 2026, the Year of the Horse, is all about: healing that is aligned, connected to our inner rhythms and those of nature. And which finds its way in its own time. 

A design with a heart connection 

Horses are incredible teachers. They have a way of reading the unspoken - mirroring our joy, fear, hesitation without judgement. Their heartbeats synchronize with our own - always meeting you exactly where you are.

Next time you’re in the presence of a horse, listen closely to that shared heartbeat. Let their energy guide you gently to look to your inner intuition, to find your own alignment, and move forward with courage, grace and softness.
